This summer has been a season of growth for the young church in Village Demier. As believers continue to gather each week for worship, prayer, and discipleship, Pastor Derson and Pastor Evald are hard at work encouraging the young congregation to grow deeper in God’s Word and build only on the foundation of Jesus Christ.

The church recently held its first membership meeting, bringing together members, prospective members, and baptism candidates to share the church’s vision and lay the groundwork for a healthy, Christ-centered congregation.

The youth ministry has also remained active throughout the summer, challenging young people to develop a personal vision for following Christ through Bible contests, children’s programs, and opportunities to put their faith into action through evangelism.

As the church grows, so does its desire to serve the surrounding community. A new Social Aid Committee has been established with three members of the discipleship team to identify and respond to practical needs with wisdom, compassion, and integrity in Village Demier.

There is also an exciting project on the horizon, as construction will begin soon on latrines for both the church and the surrounding village. This project was made possible through the generosity of Life Pointe Church last Christmas. These much-needed facilities will be a valuable asset to the new church while improving sanitation for the whole village as a practical way to love people in the name of Jesus Christ.

Most exciting of all, God continues to draw people to Himself. This summer, Manerose, a wife and mother of eight, placed her faith in Jesus Christ. What a joy to welcome a new sister in Christ! Please pray for Manerose as she grows in her faith and becomes firmly rooted in the church family.
