From our families to yours: notes of gratitude from JiHM staff members

During this week of giving thanks, we asked several JiHM staff members to share with you the impact that your giving continues to have on their lives, especially during these difficult times.

Staff members thanked you for your counsel, your prayers, and your giving. They expressed gratitude that even during months when most activities were forced to pause because of insecurity, they did not have to worry about their paycheck.

And above all, they glorified God, who richly provides for us all. Thank you for honoring Him by being generous and willing to share with your brothers and sisters in Haiti. Happy Thanksgiving!

I greet you all in the name of Jesus. It is with a heart full of joy and gratitude that I express my thanks to you in the same way that the apostle Paul did with the Philippian church, when he praised and prayed for the Philippian Christians because of the way they supported the apostle in the difficulty he was going through.

The way that you continue to contribute in order to pay each employee every month has left a deep impression on our hearts. That paycheck helps me and my family resist and face all the unexpected obstacles that we encounter every day. Because of the current situation in our country, Haiti, the cost of living has become really difficult. Continuing to receive my paycheck really helps us to fight.

My work at JiHM has allowed me to help other people, to give my tithe, and more. This year, my wife and I were able to help the parents of a 9-year-old girl send her to school for the first time. We also paid for extra lessons so she could catch up to her grade level. Now she knows how to read and is starting to be able to write. I am amazed by her grades.

God’s word tells us in 1 Peter 4:10 that each one should put to the service of others the gift that he has received. This gift is not only the ability to preach, but also to share the love received from God and others.

May God bless you and your families, and may He open the floodgates of heaven for you and for your family, because from His abundance you contribute to JiHM, and we are able to withdrawal to give to our families. Words are not enough! God knows and sees your good works.

A special hello to everyone who supports JiHM,

We are so thankful for everyone who checks on us through phone calls or text messages during these difficult times that we are facing.

But what gives us the most strength to continue in our work is the kindness of all of you to support us with paychecks even when the work is on pause at certain times. Without our salaries, we don’t know what we would do.

We continue to pray for God to bless JiHM. We pray also that we can continue to help the children in this time because we know school is a lifeline for so many.

If I continually said “thank you” every day, it wouldn’t be enough.

May God continue to bless you more.

I greet you guys in the name of our Lord Jesus. And I hope this finds you all in good health.

I am writing in order to express my heartfelt gratitude for your continuing generous support during this challenging time. Your financial support has significantly reduced the burden of my family’s expenses, allowing me to focus on ministry without added stress. Your support has allowed us to have food, drink, clothes, etc., which means the world to us.

My work as a pastor with JiHM has allowed me to bless other people by being accessible and present during times of crisis. I have comforted and prayed alongside my brothers and sisters. I have provided Biblical counsel to those facing personal struggles. I have encouraged people to navigate life’s challenges with faith and resilience. I have been able to help families with money for food and rent and more.

Once again, thank you so much for your generous support. We pray that God continues to bless you. Best regards!

I always want to thank God for the way He uses JiHM to support the children and the staff. Because of these blessings, I always have faith that no matter the situation, God will always find a way to meet our needs.

I want to extend a big thank you because you always accompany us in all the bad times we are going through in Haiti. It is truly a moment of desolation, and our hearts are grateful for your kindness which allows us to continue to receive our salary every month. This supports not only my family but every other employee and their families as well.

Through my job as secretary, I’m able to stay in touch with students and other employees, giving them encouragement and moral support wherever they are.

Thank you because God uses you to help each one of us, both financially and through prayer, so we can help others. May God in his love continue to bless each of you and your families. Thank you again!
