Robenson, the oldest at the Lighthouse, turned 20 at the end of March. He has been living at the Lighthouse since he was orphaned by the earthquake almost 10 years ago. We asked him if he would like to share his story with all of you, and we are so glad he said yes. Thank you for being part of making this story of redemption possible!

Anne Marie, who turned 16 in October, has lived at the Lighthouse since 2012. She is expressive, passionate, and full of joy. Gifted with a beautiful voice and remarkable stage presence, Anne Marie spends many afternoons on the Lighthouse veranda practicing songs for upcoming performances at church or school. Here are “3 things” with our songbird, Anne Marie:

Robenson, the oldest at the Lighthouse, turns 20 on March 28. Over the last few years, Robenson’s true personality has emerged. While he can seem aloof, he is anything but—always attentive to the needs of his younger brothers and sisters at the Lighthouse, offering his strength and protection quietly for their good. Robenson is in 9th grade, catching up after getting a slow start to his education as a child. Robenson has lived at the Lighthouse since January 2010, when he lost his mother in the earthquake.

Adriano, who has lived at the Lighthouse since 2009, is known for his easygoing personality, a trait that enables him to get along well with everyone. Here is some insight into how he sees himself at age 17.
