When Grace Emmanuel School opened on Monday, one high school student returned to the classroom for the first time in nearly a year and a half. Francico Fleurimond, 12th grader, had overcome one more obstacle to completing high school.

If you were searching for the person most excited for Grace Emmanuel School to kick off next month, you would need to look no further than GES Bus Driver Fleurandieu Anylisse—or Pele, as everyone calls him.

For this academic year, Grace Emmanuel School held its eighth kindergarten graduation and second Philo graduation since the school began in Source Matelas.

On Saturday, Grace Emmanuel School held its second high school graduation ceremony. The 18 students who make up the GES Class of 2018 overcame many obstacles to achieve this major milestone. We are so proud of them! 

The average Haitian, age 25 years or older, has less than 5 years of schooling (USAID, 2017). Fednor Excellent, who will graduate from Grace Emmanuel School at the end of this month at age 25, is raising that average.
