When Grace Emmanuel School kicked off the 2019-2020 school year last Monday, it marked the completion of 15 years of providing an education at Grace Emmanuel School.

This summer, we asked students to name their favorite food to include as part of their updated bios for this school year.

Every year at the end of June, 9th graders in Haiti take a 3-day exam administered by the government. The students are tested in seven areas: Creole & French (the official languages of Haiti), social studies, science, math, and foreign languages (Spanish & English). The exam scores, released in August, determine if a student will begin secondary school or repeat 9th grade and take the exam again the following June.

On July 5, Grace Emmanuel School celebrated its third high school graduation.

My husband, Nathan, and I have sponsored Mike at Grace Emmanuel School since 2017, when he was finally able to enroll at nearly 12 years old. His story continually breaks our hearts and motivates us to serve. We are glad to do the Haitian Hustle for him this August.
