It’s been a busy month for the ministry team in Village Demier. Here are some highlights in pictures and video.
Latrine Project
After months of planning and a few setbacks, construction has finally begun on community latrines for Village Demier! This bonus project was made possible by funds raised by Life Pointe Church last December—and it was 100% funded by their generous giving. The original plan called for 10 latrines, but with rising project costs and the unexpected expense of renting an excavator, the scope has been scaled back to six. Even so, these six latrines will be a significant blessing to the community and the newly planted church!
Spelling Contest
Over multiple evenings in August, Ralph coordinated a spelling contest for the youth of Village Demier as they prepare to head back to school.
Kids Clubs
Every Friday in August in Village Demier, kids gathered for fun, Bible lessons, and even a delicious meal.
Haitian Hustle
On August 16, several youth from Village Demier—plus Johnny and Peterson from the Lighthouse Legacy—took part in their own Haitian Hustle!
